There are so many two seater roadsters out there these days that you would think that the seats from one of them would fit. I once made a short list with the intention of visiting a few dealers and trying to measure the seats in them if it didn't look too obvious. The probelm I had was finding something that matched the magnolia seats in my Chim. If i had black or grey seats I think I would have done this and maybe had something better fitted by now. Has anyone tried S2000 seats I know quite a few kit car builders go for these as they are quite narrow.
I've been looking for replacement seats (preferably competition style ones) for my Chim for over a year now. I cannot find any that will fit me that will fit in the car. I've been to Recaro, Sparco, Cobra and assorted nameless ones, and nada. I am, however, 6'3" and 17st, so anything big enough for me generally won't fit in the car. I was going to try chimjunkie's Lotus Elise seats he has in his Chim, but then he had a coming together with a Range Rover, so his car's unavailable at the moment. I also intend to try some Tillett carbon fibre ones, but They Aren't Cheap and I need to drive down to Sittingbourne to try them, since no-one seems to keep them in stock.

Ive given myself 4 options, Cerbera, Tuscan, Elise and ive found some from a company in Belgium that make a classic style bucket seat for slightly under £200
Many of the TVR seat colours are Jag colours (and identically named which helps).
Jag XJS Coupe / Convertible seats from a car with the sports pack just fit in my V8S, so I'm guessing will fit Griffeara's. (Use your eyes with the XJS seats - there are wider lardy versions which is obvious won't fit due to the width). The seat base needs to look like the ones pictured here.
I haven't fully fitted mine yet (in the middle of a body off so a few other things to do), and the seatbelt stalk is a bit of an issue as its tight between the seat backrest pivot and centre tunnel - I think I'm going to replace mine with a seatbelt type stalk (i.e. flat webbing, a full seatbelt kit is about £35 if you shop around).
The seatbelt buckle needs to be removed from the Jag seat(drill out the rivets) and the floor mounting holes are in a different place.
The killer for me on the TVR seats was that kink in the backrest which gave me terrible backache, these have a flat backrest which is great.
They don't look very bucket shaped but the bum pad sinks down in the seat leaving the bolsters either side to grip you really well (and you get a very low seating position as with TVR seats).
My interior is Doeskin, these are Doeskin Jag seats, the colour match is perfect.
I paid £100 for the seats, though another pair on the bay recently went for £74.
Really top quality too.
I know they are available in Magnolia and Biscuit as I've seen them for sale.

I'm thinking of changing the seats for something a bit more supportive. My first thoughts are for Cerbera seats but they seem to be hard to get hold of. Has anyone fitted something different and what were the results?

Guys read the post properly!I removed those buckles - they are riveted on so you have to drill the rivets out - that bottom pic is when I had just got the seats. I plan to use the existing chassis mountings.
