Fitted these last week.

I personally think they totally transform the front end of the car, in a good way. Certainly prettier. I love them!

Opinions?

Standard ones, which I agree are crap. Unlit roads in heavy rain I can imagine are a bit ugggh.

But the conversion is removable believe it or not. So a swap is always possible!

There you go!

They really weren't that hard to fit, just patience and attention to detail required. If you look on the website you'll see it's something like 16 steps but the 2nd one I did took about 1 and a half hours work, albeit 2 days in total for curing times and stuff.

A good 50% of the steps carried out are to ensure perfect waterproofing, which is understandable!

One issue actually with my car was that the headlamp lens sits slightly too far forward on one side, causing the acrylic cover to sit with a 1.5~2mm gap between it and the body on the top side. No problem in the end- it was all waterproofed up and then masked properly with bendy masking tape and I thumbed in some carbond sealant into the gap with white spirit.

Tidied it up perfectly and added extra waterproofing.

The price I paid was £395 but there are various options you can have, including body colour cowls, thick border lenses and thin border lenses. Smoked or unsmoked...

These are very much do it yourself. £750 is a full 90% more to get it done by someone else, including taking the car there in fuel and stuff it's going to end up being double the price. But depends what you like. The finish on these if you do them right is very very good!

People are comparing £395 + time and effort with £762 + fuel.

It totally depends on how far you are having to travel of course but for me the Central TVR option would have worked out as £762 + £100 (for fuel return) but in reality I would have had to get a train back down to London and then back up again so once that's factored in it's pushing £1000 and that's far from £395. Save £600 and don't worry about insurance for 2 years.

Totally different kettle of fish if you live in Stourbridge.

But then again you do get the new headlights so there is a bit of value back in it. Both are priced competitively.

Your assuming the price given on the website is the price you pay, I paid a fair chunk less than that wink
How much are we talking here? wink
