Hi, just logged on for the first time and would really appreciate some tips anyone might have on buying a chimaera. Test driving some this week, a 4, 4.5 and a 5. Have heard of some expensive bills, especially about roting outriggers. Any help realy welcome. Going to walk the dog now and dream of that exhaust note....hope to hear of reply later.

Hey thanks, seeing a 4 and 4.5 tomorrow in Peninsula, but fear they wil be too pricey. A 5 at the weekend up north. Corin, thanks for the contact, will let you know how I get on.
But hey, I'm a Lotus Elan driver, but since getting this TVR bug, its all I can think (and sadly talk) about.

Possibly not, but all I know is that before I drove a tvr last week, I was happy with my elan, now, it feels a bit eurobox sports car and sounds it too. So yes, my life, bank account and thoughts of other conversation topics have been ruined. But hey, back to that sound...as I read somewhere, noisier than my girlfriend after a night on the stellas.

That looks a real beauty. Saw two this am but too pricey, going to S. Wales on Sat to see another, if he wont give me a decent part ex for my elan, I'll sell privately and get back to you. Thanks, looks like you've cherished it.

Thanks Corin. The Elan is a 1990 35k beautiful condition throughout, there's a pic on my profile. Full history etc..(road holding is beyond description.)
I tried to have a good look underneath a 4 and 4.5 thismorning, but the damn things are too low. I'll take a torch tomorrow and my list!
Started up a Griffith last week, pre cat, truly awsome sound. I'm sure several car alarms were set off....snigger.
Satch#9, seeing a 5. on Sat. Expecting a nice bit oomph.

Just how many of you are there that you can drive all these sports cars?!?
Me thinks the silver one was the head turner. How are you finding the elan?
Strange, I'm 40 and feel like a kid at christmas waiting to see this car on Sat. Kinda wierd huh..
If I get one, have to meet up for a jar. (If I can afford the petrol down there!)
You mention current advert, whats that about?

All being well they've offereee me 8250 as part x, which is ok, but I guess if I waited till spring I might get more being nearly A1 and 35k miles.
Getting quite itchy about tomorrow now, but in a good way...will Sunday be driving around with a grin the size of Alaska or sat at home trawling through the internet....

Too upset to talk! saw it drove it, looked great but too many things wrong. Saw another today, fantastic 500, beaut body work and inside, but chasis had plastic coating off a lot of it and rust setting in, asking about it being cleaned up by local tv dealer. Price tomorrow. Thanks for asking though!

Nothing he hadnt seen before a few times. So, here goes.....................5L '97 british racing green metalic.................
