My understanding is that any changes to plenum/throttle body (if executed correctly) can yield big improvements in throttle response.

In my humble opinion too many people on here seem overly fixated with horse power numbers.

I totally understand why people do this, the TVR crowd can easily put a ruler on their members, take a picture of it, then post it on Penis Heads (in the format of a rolling road graph).

But what gets completely forgotten in this arms race for bigger & bigger numbers is what I believe to be the most important element of all.

HOW THE CAR FEELS TO DRIVE!

To this end a lighter flywheel or an ACT twin plenum may have little or no impact on the slang waving graph poster's horse power figure.

When you get your supercharger or Turbo fitted will you be posting the results ?

But a TVR Chimaera with those two mods is certain to go from feeling dull & average, to feeling like a lithe and alive sports car.

You can't post the results of how your car feels to drive on Penis Heads, but you sure can feel it yourself every time you go for a blast!

Ask the question, "Whats more important you you?"

... wink
I agree completely Dave! And Daz of course...

Emperor's new clothes syndrome is more common....

Trying to belittle folks that try and measure their improvements with some kind of sanity seems well, rather absurd really????

You can get a load of trouble with the twin plenum now- they are getting old, and the seals / bearings around the throtle spindle wear out and let in air, so you cant get a stable idle.
I might use two other TBs then, new ones, have anything in mind that would suit? Or just anything between 60-70mm?

I believe he works in the quality control department in factory outside Oslo that makes very small condoms biggrin

Either that or he's trained killer masquerading as a chef on a ship floating just off the Norwegian coast line?

Thats Steve Seagull! Didn't know he had a TVR?? He's from Dorking right?
