Performance Brake pads , Which ones ?
Discussion
I know that this has been probably posted before, but i wanted to know what people thought about or had any experience with uprated front brake pads form the like of
Reddot
Predator
Mintex 1144
EBC Greenstuff
Ferrodo Ds Range
I only use the car for tootling, fast road and wanted to upgrade are they any good ?, which ones are the best ? , or are there any different types out there which are better ?, I am going to upgrade the front disks to either Turbo groove EBC's or Reddot 20 groove cross drilled, What do you think or know ?.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply Pete, I Spoke to a chap at hyperformance Direct and he advised me that the 6 groove reddot discs would be more than adequate for the way i use the car, as for pads i am having a job in sourcing them such as mintex or tarox, where to you get them from ? , Part numbers etc for front 240mm discs, pads, nobodoy down here (Wales) seems to list them, i know the car uses ford discs but i can't seem to cross reference them against other models and manufacturers.
So it's better to stick to grooved discs, rather than cross drilled ?, thanks i'll bear this in mind.

Thanks for all the replies and for all the info , theres plenty here to look into, as for the discs Pete V8S sounds like there the same as yours, rear discs off a granada and front off mk4 escort 240mm.
Just spotted a set off brembo grooved discs on larkspeed.com for a mk4 escort/orion for £49, so i rang up and asked for the price of the same brembo discs for my TVR and guess what £130 it's amazing how the price differs seeing that they are the same discs for both cars. Found a good link below for info on discs, pads ,etc.
