..so having pulled the battery forward from its tray and clipped the delay relay on the way down, I have replaced the offending unit and trusted all to be well. (see previous thread)

Sadly this is not the case. The whole car is still dead, I have it hooked up to the landrover battery which has plenty of charge in it, but I have nothing in the car.

I have removed and checked every fuse I can find, and they are all OK, have pulled out all the relays on the plate in case I have damaged any of them either and they are all fine too, basically everything in the attached photos has had a removal, visual inspection and replacement, and the whole car (including permanent live such as electric windows) is still dead.

I'm now running short on ideas, the car was just fine till I pulled the battery forward into the footwell to charge it... anyone got any ideas at all, I'm getting most pissed off by now as I'd hoped to use my car over the christmas/new year break

Cheers
Matt

ITS ALIVE !!!

internal fault with existing battery (possibly caused by the bump into the floorpan) was causing some sort of short circuit despite having the landrover battery in parallel with it. Once I'd completely removed the old battery from the equation I was most pleased to hear the alarm going off, the doors locking me in the car and the boot solenoid going mad..

Much obliged,
Matt.

PS off to buy a new battery now (605 A)
