I popped into Halfords to buy the clear side indicators for my Chim, but noticed that they also had the same ones in blue which would blend in perfectly with the cosmos blue paint finish.

Dilemma...I know it's a matter of personal choice, but does anyone think this sounds a really naff thing to do?

Opinions welcome

Jess...if you want me to get you some that's no problem. I can either post them to you or bring them along to a meet

I haven't bought any clear ones yet hence this thread...I can't decide on clear or blue

Matt, where did you buy your clear side indicators from? It seems that the Halfords ones won't fit the Chim in any case so no point going back there

I haven't decided on whether I should change the orange front and rear indicator lenses to clear. I see your point about the orange standing out against the blue, although not on the side of the car!

Thanks peeps

So basically the general consensus is that I won't be committing a faux pas by fitting colour coded side repeaters, rather it's more down to personal choice.

The orange lenses will definitely be replaced but as yet I can't decide between the clear or blue ones. I expect by the time I do make up my mind and go back to Halfords, BOTH types will be out of stock!

Hmm...do I replace the orange front and rear lenses with clear???? More decisions Perhaps I'll fret over that another day!!!!

to just do the sides and not the fronts looks like you've forgotten...

If I use the colour coded side repeaters but keep the orange front and rear lenses, it won't look like I've forgotten. But clear ones all round are nice too!!

My head is spinning

Thanks Al

Crawley and Burgess Hill branches have both of them in stock too. I think the best thing to do is to fit the blue side repeaters because they'll look good (I hope!) with the orange front/rear indicators.

OMG...I've made a decision! Best rush out to buy the blue ones before I change my mind

Yep I hear what you are saying but the point of the blue ones I've seen are they are an exact colour match so won't be so noticeable (presumably).
