Hi,

I was looking back through some old post regarding alarms and i think it was you that mentioned having the old style key operated locks removed and changed for the later style aluminium buttons. Was it you and if so can you remember how much it cost to have them fitted then wired in with the alarm unit?

Thanks

Lee

Well mainly because the car has two alarms fitted the standard TVR working of the locks, and a second alarm/imm working off the blipper. The TVR is a little tempremental so i always just lock the doors without setting it, then i use the second alarm with the blipper to activate it's imm and alarm. So it would be nice to change the door locks to buttons so one blipp and it's locked and alarmed rather than locking with the key then blipping.

Schnozz that exactly what i'm after the later style (94-96 iirc) door pushbuttons but wired to my central locking module of the alarm with the blipper. I'm not looking for the wing mirror button with solenoids. If you don't mind me asking what was the price range to have this type of work done? I'm going to make a few calls today to alarm people - but i would rather someone with the knowledge of how to dismantle the various bits of the Tvr to work on it

Cheers

Yeah thats seems spot on for what someone just quoted. The locks you describe are exactly what i'm after working in the same method.

Thanks for the replies
