Thought we would have a little picture fest to see what cars Chim owners have or have had in the past? Anything unusual or different?
Post them up smile

Very early Tomcat range rover chassis x2, Being racing for more than 10 years but sold recently due to working abroad too much, hence bought a Chimera a couple of months ago. wanted a car with a Rover V8 as I know all there is to know about them. also wanted a future classic and one that didnt rot away ( outriggers excepted.

First car started off as a stty carb 1,6 Golf and ended up as a ported 1,9 liter GTi 8v... full rebuild with old compomotive 10x16 porsche wheels wink silly in my younger days

Next car was a diesel Golf then my lovely old Merc 190e 3.0 inline six. One previous owner... I did the 2.6 -> 3.0 swap

Switched to orange repeaters to get a more classic look in the end... drove 8000kms in this car in 3 weeks... all over Europe Norway to Netherlands to Croatia to Chernobyl in Ukraine and back home... not a fault!

well started off with classics as the insurance was stupidly cheap and went from there really!

1st car spit 1300, owned it for about 3 months before I heard a GT6 roar past on the M1 on the way to a show and fell in love with the noise!

sold that and travelled down to cornwall to pick up my Spit6 which I owned for a few years and restored/tuned up, did track days, daily driver etc and took the abuse fine apart from the Vertical links failing......... ended up with a stage 3 2L injected straight 6, revved up to 7K, desperately needed an LSD!

at the same time I went through some otehr cars as a 'daily' to take some of the pressure off the spit as I was doing 100 miles a day!

1st up a 1500 dolly, no OD and soon got bored with the lack of power I have to say....

so bought a sprint for 500 quid, looked st, went like stink! very faded and boot and bonnet were different colours hehe

a few months later someone who lived nearby was selling his as he was emigrating, got it very cheap and was pretty immaculate, problem was it had barely been used and I threw it into daily use which it did not like, always bits going wrong with it, and once I got it sorted I got offerred the BMW from a friend.

so then followed the BM, by far the BEST car I have ever owned, just so much fun, flawlessly reliable and cheap, still miss the old beast! even if it was an auto! but you cant complain for free! sold it with 190K on the clock after getting it with 120. replaced interior with black leather, black carpet and black headlining, updated lights all round, changed wheels, new wings and partial respray, I was going to keep it and stick 3L internals in the engine but then the chim came along!

Poor imagine i have to say but Abarth 500. After driving out of the showroom and having it for a couple of months i cannot start to explain the hatrid i gre for this car. It was, bumpy, over computerised, broke a lot (more than the chimp in fact) i don't even want to go on. It did, however, look pretty cool.
