Has anyone else found they rip a small hole in the bum of their trousers driving a chim?

I know it sounds bizarre but i have put a small (1cm) hole in 3 pairs of suit trousers since I have owned the chim. My work chair has been changed in this time so its not that doing it and its the only commmon denominator when wearing these trousers!!!!!!

Usually wearing jeans the rest of the time when driving the car so not had a problem with them!

Not catching them on the back rest adjuster are you? Could happen if the seat cushions are getting a bit soft?

If the hole is in the centre of your trousers perhaps you are driving too fast and scaring yourself?

Where abouts is the hole? I have had a few "moments" in the wet and think I may be slowly developing a hole in my suit trousers

On a serious note, my bum always feels slightly damp when I get out......

Cheers

Check the plastic cover which hides the back adjuster lever spring etc - mine was cracked and had a jagged edge which was catching as I got in/out. Actually worse than holes in trousers, it put a small hole in the seat leather at the side when it caught on that

Aha - .Mark came up with this idea too and sounds very plausible. The hole is in the same place in all 3 suits; midway down the right hand pocket. This would tie in with where the lever is....

right, will have a look at this and see what i can do to fix it. Most expensive thing to go wrong with my Chim, its cost me over a grand in suits

Have exactly the same problem with my Chim. Holes in 3 pairs of trousers mid right bum pocket. Also leaves a small oil stain, so worked out quite early on that it was the back adjuster.

Was costing me so much in trousers I got a Tuscan instead!

ok, best find a Tuscan then. Well, I cant ruin my trousers can I. Well, in a Tuscan the staining might not be oil

Maybe the cornering ability of the Chim over the S means that your ring is chewing into the cloth on a subconscious basis... and it's eating away at your trousers...
