There is a whole thread about this with various peoples pictures etc and advice/suggestions about colour coding...whether you should or shouldn't and how to do it.

Do a search in the Chimaera forum for the thread - but sadly there's not a lot of choice of replacement rear light clusters for the Chimaera & Cerbera

Most people seem to end up with these:

They are here: http://www.quadconversions.com/tvr_chimaera_and_ce...

Yeah - I've seen both but I much prefer the Quad Conversions set. They're a bit more "expensive looking" when fitted IMHO but personal preference is different for each of us.

sadly, some sellers know they fit a TVR and rip us off

search for mk3 fiesta lights, you will find them at a slightly better price

My 97 had the Fiesta lights removed and quads installed by the previous owner. Colour coded and all glass fibred in. Looks completely factory original.

Will have a look through the paper work later and see if there is any details on who and how much.

Thats what i thought, but surely if someone has them on their later chim and they need it replacing, they can get one?A late 99 wouldent look good with the fiesta lights on!

might be worth trying fibreon or one of the other body panel suppliers?

Here is a pic of mine. Interior shot is not so clear as to what was done since I re-glued the carpet. But the new pods are fibered in from behind, after I assume the Fiestas were removed and mountings cut out.

I seem to remember that on later factory cars it is part of the tub so not just something that can be swapped to another car.

According to the paperwork it was done in 2003 by 'Webbs Autos Specialist Cars Ltd' in Bristol. 01275 858461. Total bill was £464.00

Google seems to say they are/were a TVR bodyshop, not sure if they are still in business.

I've looked into this myself and Douglas Valley wanted about 170 for the original later units but then you have the hassle of getting them to fit.

If you can get the afterburners for 185 it seems like a good deal to me plus they look very nice.

Apparently I have "Lexus" style lights!

Even though I like them, (look good at night), it was better when I didn't know rolleyes.

I did mine last winter.
To convert from Factory Fiesta lamps to the later Factory lights, this what I did.

Parts required-
• A pair of fibreglass pods from Fiberon
• 6 light units (lenses and bulb holders) – Military Land Rover off eBay (2x 3 wire Stop & Tail, 2x Indicator, 1x Fog, 1x Reverse or front side light)
• 2 Reflectors – 96 Fiat Punto from local Fiat dealer
• 2x8 way plug and socket
• Plus wire, insulting tape and bulbs etc

Method-
1. Remove old lights and outer covers
2. Cut off old connectors from wiring loom and fit replacement sockets
3. Trim aperture inside boot to allow pods to fit flush inside the rear panel
4. Bond pods in place and use some sealant to finish off the outside
5. Mask and paint pods to match body colour
6. Bond new lenses and reflectors in place from the outside
7. Refit and seal old outer covers
8. Wire the new blub holders to the new plugs as required for each side
9. Screw bulb holders on to the rear of the new lenses
10. Test and enjoy!

My old 97 had genuine later style lights fitted by the previous owner, look way better than the original Fiesta lights.
