Just picked her up today and drove the 100 miles home (via a few tunnels just to check all was well
)
It was nice to see people looking across at the car in the same way I have done for years! Even the weather couldn't spoil my fun.

Great choice and a nice colour! Looks very similar to mine (pic in profile).
The price seems fair to me for a dealer backed car. I spent more than that on mine but have had various things sorted under warranty which would have all added up to quite a lot! Cheaper initial outlay doesn't always get you the best deal.
Now drive it down to London for the tunnel run on the 22nd!!!

Nice to see a car moving from someone's fantasy garage into the real one.
Indeed it is Neil. Like I said over 2 years ago it would one day be sitting in my garage (although I have wanted a Chim for over 5 years), the only problem is that my fantasy garage car was a year 2000, 450. Guess I'll have to settle for a 2001, 450
. I did get a bit off the asking price, a trickle charger thrown in and a full tank of the magic juice and it comes with 6 months P&L warranty. If you look what £12.5k gets you from some other dealers it would have been a 1999 car with 30k+miles. The fact that the car has just the interior I was hoping for, estoril alloys, and just the colour I was after are a real bonus.
I hope to keep the car long term so didn't want to just 'settle for an OK car' that I would have regretted buying in a few years. With a bit of luck the later 450/500 cars will start appreciating in value like the Griffs are starting to do.
Oh and David Gerald Sportscars are a really great bunch unlike one or 2 other experiences I'd had.

Well done steve, you finally took the plunge. Awesome motor car. Beautiful colour and leather combo, but when you came to warrington did i not tell you "RED ONES ARE FASTER" enjoy it mate you have been looking long enough.
Thanks Tom,
Work and Weather have restricted my mileage to 150 so far (most of that was the drive home), but it's sure been fun. Only one slight wheel spin so far whilst pulling out of a T-junction!.
Congrats to you also. I saw your posts the other week with pictures of your restoration and the car is coming on great - almost there matey. I was going to drop you a line to see if you could attend the monthly North West TVRCC meet near Altrincham, but I'm on a late now so can't make it my self.
