Me again, as i am going to be racking up the miles i don't see the point in buying a particularly low mileage car, since i will decimate its value in a year anyway, so figure i may as well buy something at the lower end of the scale.

I see there are a few cars available between the £35k and £40k marks, has anyone seen anything lower than that in the last year or so? I would imagine trade in value on a car that retails for £35k is probably closer to £30k.

A bit O/T - Went to SGT on Saturday and had a good look around the red/black example they have. Pictures don't do it justice, in the flesh it's beautiful...

Went to RTCC on Saturday morning, spent a very pleasant couple of hours knocking about, mostly with RT himself. Very pleasant chap, knowledgeable and helpful.

More importantly, having discussed service intervals and costs, we went for a drive in an 02 reg'd Aero, in a beautiful silver/blue colour (like mr_tony's car) with dark blue hood and interior. Standard steering wheel, exhaust, and gearshift.

Easy to get into and out of (remembering to move the seat), lovely floor mounted pedals (though my shoes meant it was all too easy to press the edge of the brake pedal whilst accelerating), very comfortable interior and seats, great steering, solid brakes, excellent air con, wonderful torque!!!

I was surprised at how good the visibility is from the drivers seat, the central mirror mounted high to make the n/s wing look close enough to reach out and touch. Even the (tiny!) back window didn't impair rearward visibility.

The decision is made - my 993 is up for sale and i am on the lookout for an Aero, though i will also have to start saving up for a sports exhaust as i think that's an absolute must!

Look forward to joining you boys soon, and thanks again for everyone's words of wisdom.
