I'm also tired of the "too young for a Jag" thing. I'm considering a nearly new XKR having recently sold my 997. Everyone I mention this to / discuss with thinks I'm mad, because of this image issue. I just don't understand it myself.

Stick with the vibe, I chose a new XKR over a 997S, which although I loved, just felt it wasn't special enough.

I'll wait untill I see one in the flesh, but, I'm less than impressed by it's looks...frown

It just doesn't have any distinctive Jaguar look.....it looks like a big Mondeo or as has been said a Lexus, which is the epitome of blandness...furious

Looks to be great dynamically, and with a nice interior and everyone is raving about the build quality etc....but it just looks crap and very indistinctive.

Good plan, wait till you see one in the flesh, sadly Ian Callum's Jags don't seem to work in print. They look much better in the metal. I think this is even more the case for the XF than it was for the new XK. I suspect it will also grow on people. Yet's hope so anyway, coz if it doesn't sell Jag is in trouble.

Didn't realise it was done by Ian....I'll have to give him some stick for it when I next see him at a Hot Rod event.....laugh

Went to view yesterday. I don't usually get excited by new cars, but it really does look quite special. Simultaneously sleek yet aggressive.

Looks great from almost every angle. The front grill possibly a tiny bit overdone for my taste but very good.

The inside if even better than it looks on the video - I don't think I'd ever tire of sitting there.

The guy told me that XK aside, 85% of jags they now sell are diesels!
