Hello everyone,

I recently read that Jaguar are undergoing a brand transformation which will see a significant reduction of their dealer network and a sole focus on EVs.

From a servicing perspective I'm not hugely concerned (last service / MOT, I used a really good independent Jag Specialist). Is there anything to worry about from a parts perspective? Will there be any kind of obligation for Jag / Tata to continue producing parts for legacy ICE models, and has anybody here had experience of issues regarding this at all?

I own an '18 plate Jaguar XE R-Sport petrol auto. Absolutely love the car - feel fairly confident about it from a durability perspective (most of the Ingenium engine related issues I read of are related to diesels).

Thanks,

Jon

My Jaguar is an older model- 2004.

Parts I have had issues obtaining:

1. Tank straps no longer available
2. Plastic Thermostat housing for 3.5/4.2 NA V8s no longer available
3. Garage had to cannibalised £500 drivers switch pack with bits from the old switch pack because folding mirror model no longer availble

I think Tata have no commitment to any models in production pre-acquisition.

Surprised to read here of further cuts to the Dealership numbers though in my experience the best have already long gone . I was thinking only yesterday that there was a time after a run of about a dozen XJ Models , X150 and a couple of F Types that it was inconceivable I wouldn't find myself at some time in a Jaguar Dealership . I wonder how many must feel the same .
