I have had this problem when I originally wanted a DB9 then downgraded to a XKR, but the thing gets as much attention as a 9'. I can only get one car(having it 4-6 years) and I want it to be a special one. I looked at BMW's, Merc's, and Porsches, but I hate how they all have about 30 cars that ALL look the same and change after 2 months. I see the Jag as a car that I can have for the rest of my life and never sale. What do you guys think. I'm going for it, because I cannot get this chance again until I can buy my own car.

P.S. I originally went with an XK with the Arden Body kit. The dealer received an ebony R' and I went for that.

Alex, a wise choice to go with the 'R' you won't regret it, and it looks great in black, not seen one in ebony though only midnight metallic so lets see some pics when you get it, and yeah it gets lots of attention but it's best not to worry too much about it, drive it to college they'll get used to it soon enough.

John, you do not know how LONG I have been waiting for this car. Ever since I was unable to get the 9' I have been freaking running around trying to find a car that I liked for, I would say 5 or 6 months. YOU will be the first to see it, hell I will name the post "check it out Steelej". Sooooo close I cannot wait.

You have to enjoy the car for what it is man. Not for how people react. Did the seven samurai conduct a consumer poll after their last stand? I don't think so.

the 9. This car is the tool. Why are you so bothered about other people's reactions?
