The car isn't out yet... demos don't arrive with dealers till later this month, and won't be registered until 1st March.

I ordered two weeks ago, and was quoted delivery at end of April.
On another forum I frequent a member has posted pictures of his car at the dealers and picking up March 1st, so there are cars at UK dealers.

Wouldn't surprise me... it's only a few weeks away after all.

My local dealer gave me that info, not surprised it's incorrect though, they are a complete sham. If it wasn't for companies like G2L being a pleasure to deal with, I wouldn't have a VW on order.

Looks like VW screwed up in the brochure and their configurator - for those who have ordered cloth, I would suggest you check with VW/your dealer on what colour cloth you we be getting....

Look like this is the "correct" cloth interior!

I don't dislike that... will lighten up the interior rather than be all black.

IV been following the great cloth debate over on the RForum with interest, I don't dislike either but I think i would have preferred the all dark one.

I prefer the lighter; looks a little like the Octavia VRS seats that I'm also a fan of.

I'd like to see it in the flesh first. I'm more upset the headrests look like a normal headrest rather than the one which moulds into the rest of the seat from the Mk5 (leather in the pic but the cloth is the same)

The cloth seats look pretty poor to me. Whether you like them visually or not, the bolsters certainly don't look as deep as those on the current MK7 GTI, or indeed those on the MK6 and MK5 GTI/R.

Cracking deal - is the adaptive chassis control essential ?

Also can the 4wd be tweaked - be nice if you could adjust power to the rear ?

Ggrrr,

This thread annoys me, it keeps making me go back and look at that deal and contemplate why I haven't gone for it yet.

Don't do what I did with the 135i and assume "ahh, the deal will still be there next week"

Iv gone for it just because im basically going to enjoy driving it for two years, Iv never had a new car before and certainly wouldn`t go for DSG second hand.

I like the sound "just add insurance and fuel" for 2 years.

The 4 wheel drive is automatically controlled apparently, disengaging the rear wheels when cruising to improve efficiency.

the only thing I cant find out is if it has that stop start rubbish,

All Mk7 Golfs have start/stop as standard
