Think yourself lucky, they're still doing a cut-and-shut job on mine in QC. they've been at it since a week last Saturday.
Mine went to in transit overnight so it seems its not stuck like yours appears to be. I do very much doubt it has overtaken yours though.

Bloody preparation, it's been in preparation for about 10 days now, I'm aware that our Bavarian cousins have a reputation for being exact, but this preparation better be worth it, how much flippin preparation is needed FFS. coffeewhistle

Sorry but hehe what the hell have they done to your car!

My current car's tyres are on about 1.8mm tread depth at the front, I'm avoiding corners and only driving (like a pensioner) when it's slippery and wet to avoid wearbiggrin, it's due a service at the end of the month and the tax is up too!

I'm also at 19,100 miles on a 20k deal.

I am in a very similar position with mine, it has to have a service before it goes back but I am about out of miles and I too have not a lot of life left in my rear tyres.

hehe

I think we're all in the same boat, so to speak.

My current lease needs to go back before it needs a £500 service (bloody BMW) and I've got less than 2,000 miles to play with before it's due.

I've got a couple of 500 mile round trips to do on business over the next 2 weeks as well.

Has anybody used a bus recently? Are they any good?

None come through my village! Ironically I do design buses for a living...

I think I'd rather pay for the service than take the bus!

Anybody had any experience of handing a car back with £50 ling longs non runflats on a PCP? I can't see anything in my contract saying they need to be runflats.

It's only 8p per mile if I go over the 20k so I'm not too bothered if I have to shell out another 40 quid for 500 miles, it's the £500 for a set of front tyres for 500 miles that will cause me to start sobbing.

Just spoken to Audi again, car confirmed at UK port.

Told them not to prep it (at all) and booked in for ceramic coating. Will collect and drive straight to the detailer.

Interesting that the RS variant will be suing the same 8 speed box as the S5. I went for a sportback S5, if they ever release an RS variant, I may be tempted to lease one after my current one expires.

RSs tend to be very dear on leases. Look at the TT RS as an example vs the S5. Similar RRP but the TT is about 50% dearer on lease.

Its the same gearbox as what goes on the 4.0 TFSI engines I think so it would make sense for it to be in both S5 and RS5

A shame they didn't go for the rumoured electric supercharger (ala SQ7) and instead just a breathed on Panamera S engine. Looks nicer than the C63 coupe, but I'd still have the C63 coupe.

I'm doing exactly the same, just hope the detailer can get me in as it looks like it's going to be a bit earlier than expected for our deliveries.

Which coating are you going for? I'm having the body and alloys done with gyeon and contemplated the windows.

I was surprised it was only 450hp when Merc do a C class with over 500.

I think the bits on the end of the lights look a bit silly. I think I will reserve judgement until I see one without a lot of the silly expensive "styling" options on. I think a lot of them you see on a lot of the cars lack a bit of taste.

Still have 1.5k of miles left on mine, tyres are fine, but still needs a service though before it is returned. Better get on a book it I think! My issue is that I need to transfer the insurance and NCB from my existing lease car to the new one, therefore the old one will be uninsured for a couple of weeks.....yikes!

I still check this thread from time to time (not daily like before) and I'm genuinely really excited for everyone close to getting their S5's.

I have had the car for a good couple of weeks now and even as I write this email I am excited about driving it to the gym tonight.
It really is a great car and you all have every right to be super excited smile
