Thanks for highlighting this - I didnt get this when my car was delivered so have gone back to Audi Sheffield asking for the fob thing. What does this give you acess too? I already have the app on my phone connected to the car so what extra does thing bring?
Locking and unlocking remotely with your phone.Under the Car menu:
Remote checking, unlocking and locking
Vehicle status report which simply shows the current mileage and how many mile to empty
Servicing and checks, miles and days to next oil change
Warning messages, not sure what this would tell you as it just says no warning messages
Theft alarm notification, tells you if the alarm has been triggered
There's also the navigation menu and I think that it doesn't tell you where your car is until you're fully registered, now it tells me the exact full address where the car is parked and a map.

Yep, still waiting for Audi to sort the missing fob out. By all accounts, this has to get referred back to the factory. Being Audi probably a long wait. Under the Car menu:

Yeah paperwork was signed off on the 10th and posted back to FS that day. I checked with JCT600 on the 17th and they say they haven't had the paperwork from FS yet so I've chased them on Friday to find out why...Yours sounds imminent. Done paperwork?
Usual morning check of the Audi tracker and mine has finally left QC and is in transit (left Ingolstadt)!
So based on a 10 day ave. timescale to hit a UK port it looks like Audi are making a final push to get these cars registered by the 31st - the race is on..!
I guess that means I need to start thinking about selling my car - and whether I can be bothered to list it privately or just take the hit via WBAC.
Regarding this, what's people's General thoughts regarding selling med value specific or "niche" cars privately, is it worth the effort?

I wouldn't bother with the hassle of selling privately. Unfortunately we live in a world where most people finance or lease a car and the new car deals are very good atm. This means buying a car a couple years old doesn't look so good unless your a cash buyer.
I spent a while last time trying to sell my car privately. Mint condition bar a few small makrs and 15% below book value. Had a few bites but nothing panned out.
In the end I sold to one of the we buy any car alternatives (was about 1k more than WBAC and picked up from my house)
Good thing about the long distance one is the buying company had already forked out for a driver to come to your house and have a look meaning the negotiating is in your court. My car had a few scratches and scuffed wheels and they didn't deduct anything. Money in bank account before hand over keys.

What car is it? When selling my S4 a few years ago I got the best prices from the 'prestige' second hand dealers, as they put them straight on their forecourt there is no middle man. I didn't want to bother with selling privately as I didn't think many people would have 20k cash to buy that sort of car and it means no test pilots or tyre kickers eitherMrjww88 said:
Hi guys,
Does anyone know how to activate your authorisations on the audi connect app as i am struggling on trying to do this! It says i need to go to my audi portal however i cannot find anything on there to do this.
Go to www.myaudi.com and register. You also need to download Audi Connect and My Audi apps for your phone and enter the username and password you created in the app.Does anyone know how to activate your authorisations on the audi connect app as i am struggling on trying to do this! It's in decent condition bar a few alloy scuffs and bonnet stone chips - and has been a cracking car for the last 2 years. My issue is that there are not that many for sale on AT, so I'm not sure if it's a car that is either a) in demand or b) a bit of a niche market..
WBAC is saying £27750, and I reckon private sale listing would be circa £32k - and to be fair I'd be happy with around £30k.
My issue is I don't want to waste my time driving to a WBAC site for them to start taking the p*ss bidding me down further, as I'm liable to get angry
Do you mind disclosing which 'prestige' dealer made you the best offer on the S4?

Must admit, once upon a time (before kids and pressures of 'proper' work resposibility etc) I used to enjoy the whole private selling process - but that has slowly ebbed away over the years, probably as I've become less tolerant over the years

It was Redline at Harrogate/Knaresborough (can't remember which) that bought it from me. I looked online and got prices from a few but they were most local and the price I told them I wanted for it. I even met them half way with it (I didn't need to take it all the way there) and money in my bank straight away. The car in question is a 3 yr old Audi A7 BiTdi Black Edition, 38k miles, fully loaded (ex Audi management) black/black.

Took a quick drive by the Sheffield Audi PDI centre, was locked up obviously. Could see 3 x S5's and that was tip of iceberg as they have 100's maybe 1000's of cars on site. I spotted 2x Coupes and 1 x SB which I am hoping is mine.
Fingers crossed it's your mate. Unless of course it's mine!!! NickA555 said:
