What colours have everybody gone for? I originally went for monsoon grey but changed it to dynamic grey.
Alor blue, but I appear to be on my own on that one!You would have thought given we don't need to worry about residuals we would all be s bit bolder like yourself but grey seems to be the overriding choice!

I wish it came in bright orange. They had a bright orange press car and it looked absolutely amazing. It just does it for me.

I had Alor blue selected on my online order, then my other half wandered by and said "Oh I saw a cupra 280 in that colour going to Glasgow the other day. Looks like a girls colour." Totally killed it for me. The Alor blue is absolutely stunning, but she wouldn't let it go if I ordered it. Thumbs up to those that have.

I bought a speed yellow boxster years ago and my wife refused to be seen in it. Pretty much an ideal situation.
I saw an alor blue fr at braehead recently and it looked brilliant. My wife got quite excited cause she thought I'd ordered that colour. Yet another let down for her when I said "no, I've ordered grey"
Only reason I didn't go for it is because it reminded too much of the old astra vxr blue. Which was a nice colour but I bloody hate vauxhalls.

I went for Ice Silver.
I already have a dynamic grey leon fr+, so didn't want the same. Out of principal, metallic was included in my price, so red or white was out. Dynamic is meant to be stunning in the flesh, but scrapes/chips are said to be extremely costly as it's a multi layer paint. So I shat it.
VWFS have a set charge for damage that requires paint. It doesn't vary depending on colour.I already have a dynamic grey leon fr+, so didn't want the same. Silver looks really good on the press cars. If I was purchasing instead of being a dirty leaser I would go ice silver ST black edition with panoramic roof and side skirts.

In terms of the skirts - I feel the Cupra definitely looks better with them on. It should have been standard imo on the Black.

Chaps,
My R lease finishes in April but with these on 14 week delivery i am seriously thinking of chopping the R in early to secure another bargain.
So:
1. Reading through this thread am I right thinking a facelift model is due??
2. This will certainly mean an increase in the lease deal. Agree??
3. Has anyone gone from R ownership into a 290 Cupra.
Many thanks

I use a local one man band operation for car repairs, which is peanuts compared to lease repair costs. So I'd have it repaired before hand back inspection. Silver looks really good on the press cars. Yeah the silver looks good on the black edition. For a 30k car, you'd think you'd get bloody side skirts as standard eh.

I'm in the exact same situation with an R going back in April. I ordered a cupra with delivery set for December although I may just take it in November. My R lease finishes in April but with these on 14 week delivery i am seriously thinking of chopping the R in early to secure another bargain.

1. Yes. Facelift is coming. No confirmed details yet but supposedly orders open Friday so the current deal ends Thursday.
2. I'd be amazed if the price didn't go up considerably. Prior to the current deal the cupra was always quite pricey on lease.
3. As mentioned I'm making the change. Ive only had 1 1 hour test drive of a cupra and it's very similar to the golf. Slight lower quality feel to the interior, felt a bit less refined and a bit more raw. It did feel a bit more agile and slightly more fun. The golf is almost too capable at times.

For anyone still thinking about it I've been told order book closes on the Leon 290 Cupra (Black) on Thursday but Tuesday might realistically be the last day to order one (before the facelift).
I've gone for a manual on a 1+23 @ £249 (inc 10k miles + metallic).
Who was this with? Getting very twitchy about this deal not being available before the window shuts.I've gone for a manual on a 1+23 @ £249 (inc 10k miles + metallic).
I don't understand why they only offer the brightest colours on the cooking models, and the turbo-nutter-bd version comes in eight shades of grey.
I'm sure dynamic grey is lovely, but I had to setle for grey on my Exige, when I really wanted orange or green, and I didn't want two grey cars on the drive. went for the brightest colour in the palette for the Cupra - Alors blue IMHO.
