Puts a new meaning to the saying "hoping for a white Xmas", unless you are one of the none white spec'd cars.

They are all white! What was the extra for different colour?

Originally ordered as night blue but changed to black when they stopped making the blue ones.

Manual. I already have an auto car so I'm missing pulling on a knob. My other car is a c63 and I'm genuinely looking forward to the gti.

I had an email from NVS saying the car will be ready for delivery just after Xmas, delivery on a flat bed truck, I've asked for Jan delivery
Did you ask and pay extra for flat bed delivery or is that what they are doing as standard?

Wish mine was being delivered by truck instead of someone driving it 180 odd miles to my house from the dealer. Would be nice to put the first miles on it myself.

Same here (160mi). Annoying that the delivery miles come off my annual allowance too but oh well.

Your kidding?! That's not on. Who's your through?

I was told delivery miles are excatly that, for delivery only. It doesn't come off the annual mileage in my deal.

I know, bit of a joke. Unfortunately I only asked this question after placing the order and the deals had gone so couldn't move to another provider. I asked for a flatbed but they wanted several hundred pounds. To be honest the whole process with this particular dealer has been a bit of a joke - it's a VW main dealer but not my local as this particular dealer was advertising online - I didn't realise the deals were on nationally. Oh well, I'm still really excited to get the car.

Morning guys, quick question. Im on the 5k miles £96 p/m deal however I've just found out my circumstances are changing and im likely going to be doing 8-9k miles per annum. Are lease companies usually open to upping the mileage rate or am I potentially better off paying for the excell mileage?

I got the deal late and im on the 10.8p excess mileage rate so this could potentially hurt!

VWFS are usually open to increasing the mileage mid-way through the contract and have historically charged half price for doing so. People who got on the cheap Golf R lease deals a couple of years back were been quoted 3.6ppm for increasing the mileage as opposed to the official 7.2ppm excess, so quite cheap! If they did the same for you you'll only be paying about £500 which is equivalent to an extra £20ish per month.

Well no it isn't - each deal is different so you need to check with them directly. When I was taking my deal out they were in the middle of changing the excess mileage charges, so everyone seems to have got a different deal.
