You wait until then then mate and see if he calls you!
I did e-mail him twice this week regarding the further delay but had no response back. I put it down to him being on holiday as he said he was planning.

Although, if he's not..........bks.

Well I got my R so can confirm it was legit - gonna ring VW Inchcape tomorrow as I'm not sure when first payment is due, emailed phil a few times this week and last but had no reply since 30th July, so if he was let go OR hes on holiday, that would explain it!

Either way, eek.

Here's my old order: 24370117 I picked up a cancelled order.

This is the first I've heard of it, so pretty shocked. I guess VW are ensuring they are in an OK position after the VWFS fiasco if he was given the boot, but who knows.

Just checked your order number and it says it's at the same stage as mine. Stage 2. Scheduled for production. What's going on there if you've already got it and I wonder where mine might be? Odd.

Jesus. I think that's the nail in the coffin for me like, this is all too bizarre. How on earth do I cancel this order? I now have the situation where I've forwarded bank details to a guy that no longer works there?

I text Phil on August 5th and had nothing back. I wonder why he doesn't work there anymore?

Couldn't make this st up, it's been a travesty from the start.

Did you ever speak to Phil and get confirmation ? for most of us we got a response immediately and and worst a week after placing order a tracker number and since then updates on phone or screen shots of dealer VW system with your tracking number..

Did you you not get any of this ?

What does your Arval form contain ? just a number and a reference ? if you phone VW CS they can give you a update too

i suppose it looks like phil has become a scape goat if he has gone….guy was always excellent to deal with consider half the world were chasing him down to order a car through.

don't know what everyone is worrying about it your in doubt call VW on the number posted earlier and give them your order number.

(I'm secretly hoping mines doesn't come till next march as my lease car is up then)

Exactly we have all ordered through VW Dealership and not a third party broker, Phil as good as he is was just a person who added the orders into the system after we signed a PCH Arval form , which infact are visible to anyone who works in VW. No one should be panicking or making this into another Leasegate..., If Phil has left i wish him well because he did work extremely hard as a business development manager to promote his Dealership group and his Director and VW would be aware of his commitment to this..

Was he really that good to deal with? How often did he ring/email you? Did he actually give you any proof that the order number he had given you was actually yours? All I got was a print screen with nothing actually saying 'this order belongs to you'! Has anyone actually taken delivery of a 'Phil' offer? Although he was good on the phone I think he was quite clever to never give too much information over emails, therefore it could come down to 'his word versus yours', as you don't have the email correspondence.

I agree that he seemed a nice guy whenever I spoke to him but in my opinion he got greedy, bit off more than he can chew and now he has ultimately paid for it. This just now means that all of the people that ordered through him have to deal with someone else! Hassle free leasing I was told!

My investigations show that the point at which my form, entitled, and sold as 'Personal Contract Hire' was turned into a Business lease was the point at which it was entered into the system i.e at the VW dealer.

Not by the broker. Not by VWFS. Just saying.

you ordered a unique R or bog standard ? How many options's etc would be difficult to include in an order that belonged to some-one else. Personally i had the original arval form completed with my details. You did or did not order from Phil is not the issue as you ordered from VW group dealership Inchcape Chelthnam/Warrington as did probably around 500 others. I have a unique order number verified when i called VW CS as should anyone else..

Anyone else new here , stop the gossip and panicking. It is all un-necessary and turning this thread into another lease gate

People need to chill. You have ordered from a salesman who has left, it's that simple. Orders are still valid you just need to deal with new sales person.

How am i gossiping? I am just sharing the information i have been told by the VW dealer in question! Yes i filled out the initial form, however if you read your email (that Phil sent) it said that this wasn't a 'full' credit check just a background check and they needed; driving license, utility bills etc, to complete the check. Have you filled out anything since sending this information? I was told 4 weeks ago that i would get some paperwork to sign, however i haven't received this. With reference to your 'unique' number, this could be anyone's number in theory, as it doesn't say your name on the VW checker when you enter the number.

I am asking the question, as i was supposed to be getting my vehicle nowish, but it is still being built.
