Its Inchcape and direct with VW

- Price has just crept up to £303 a month but thats because i want tyre cover too.

Theres a good chance that within two years i will need at least two new tyres. You have to match the tyres that are already on there so i feel £144 over two years is fair was one tyre would probably cost that.

By means of comparison, I've also ordered one, White 5 door manual. 3+23 lease @ £288/month, 10k miles.

Delivery date estimated at 30 Jan, which is the only down side really.

Jan 2015 is, imo, optimistic.

most here ordered in july and have only just got a build week

So order in July - get car nov/dec so we are looking at a 5/6 month lead time

unless the dealerships have cars that are coming through already from previously cancelled orders (something you will need to verify) i would expect more a march delivery.

Having said that, March delivery wouldn't be the end of the world as that is new reg time again smile

It's not that far off the other quotes here in terms of TCO: Bear in mind that the upfront cost of the lease is only £864 as opposed to the ~£2k in some of these lower headline price deals. It works out at £7,488 over the course of the lease (which includes around £250 of paint costs). This is about £7-800 more than the higher deposit leases but my conclusion on looking at the numbers was that I found the lower upfront cost a better option than the increase of overall cost.

Gateway2lease are offering 3/23 with payments at £260 pm (non metallic) which makes total cost £6983.80 including their admin fee.

Did you order yours with a VW dealer. Even so if you add the £250 for paint to the 6983.80 above its still £250 difference cheaper with gateway. not that much but £11 a month difference.

Hi. Been following this, and looking to submit the order form. Just a quick question for anyone who has ordered.

Between now and delivery is a long time, and anything can happen, so can you cancel between now and delivery and just face a penalty, ie 6 months, or is it the situation where as soon as I have signed up you face the full term of payments to cancel?

Cheers

With NVS you would certainly lose the doc fee (£200.00)

They also state :

In the event of me/us canceling this order for any reason and failing to take delivery within the specified period I/We shall be liable to pay a cancellation fee of £500.00 to National Vehicle Solutions

Not sure how that would stand up in court though?

You would only be bound by the full terms of the lease 14 days after the agreement has been signed (when the vehicle is ready to be delivered)

Are people getting these mainly because the deal is so fantastic that it has swung them to getting this (very good) car that they may not previously considered.

I ordered purely on price. Yes it's a very good car but I can't say I'm that excited by it. It's like a pair of Hunter wellies: you know it'll do the job perfectly but you're not going to get erect about the prospect of wearing them.

I've just looked on national vehicle solutions and it would appear I can have a Golf R for £1,800 + 24x £204. A total price of £6696 over 2years for a brand new vehicle. Surely this can't be right? That's ridiculously cheap! That's with 10,000p.a too. I'm going to ring them to check laugh

Tornado Red and Manual is what you will get for that money but its a great price and looks nice in red.

What was your build week?
Did you get a text during your build week saying build was in progress?

How are people insuring their Rs? I've got an Admiral multicar policy, reckon I can just stick it on that? Obviously the easy answer would be to just call them..
