Got a quote for over £600 per month yesterday from my local dealer for a Golf R!!!!

Any one know where it's possible to get any sensible deals currently??

Where are you guys getting the tracking numbers from? I ordered around a month ago and was told march. I've emailed asking about VW tracking etc just to be told there no firm delivery date yet. Oddly a friend has also ordered 2 weeks after me with the same company and has a tracking no.

CVL are doing the gtd on a deal for 140+vat. 2k deposit. based on 5k per anum.

You missed the boat on that one unless you can find a broker with saved quotes that are unused.

Have you asked your dealer for the order number? In my experience it is taking a while for the orders to show online. I was told that there were technical difficulties but in reality I suspect it is due to the amount of orders.

I placed my order on the 29/10/14. My order is at the order processing stage. I am not going to say I am not bother about knowing the build week but in the scheme of things I am trying to remind myself it has only been a few weeks. I was surprised when I looked back how long it had been between the order being placed and showing online. It was only just over a week but felt longer.

I believe we ordered from the same lease co.

I got a letter from VW with contact details and my order number (although nothing shows on the tracker). Would have thought you'd get one too?

I got my build week confirmed text this week after ordering at the end of June.

Good job I didn't wait as my car should have been delivered by now!

I saw a Midland's unmarked VW Golf GTi a few months ago on the M40.

That was getting on for 3 years ago!

So it is - strange as it popped up on facebook a few days ago - apologies I didn't check the date! Hopefully the mk7 Golf R handles better.

No specific reason, just said demand.

Mine was poverty spec in Red, 5 door so nothing special

I asked for more info but there is no BW just provisional date for delivery given. I rang VW CS and they said it's on system but no confirmed BW yet and that dealer would probably have more info due to any build slots they had etc. Dealer got back saying although initially March is seems May/June.

I will wait until I get some more info before properly being annoyed! It does seems others ordered around same time getting provisional build weeks so perhaps I may get something.

My gut instinct is dealer filled their March allocation and mine fell out of this...
