It looks absolutely stunning under those lights. Would you mind sharing exactly what they did/apply to the car. I've been seriously considering having mine detailed (when it finally arrives.... whenever that may be) with a sealant finish.
If you don't mind sharing, what sort of cost they charge you?

Finally, now that you have got the car back, would you remind reporting what sort of MPG you get from it as I'm sure were all keen to know if 14 MPG as posted by someone else is realistic, fingers crossed it's returning better figures for you.
I'm sure 14 mpg is not normal driving, more "got a new car bury the pedal whenever I can", this engine is meant to be better than the B8/8.5 engine and they are low/mid 20s in normal use.

Ill be honest i have no clue what coatings etc had been applied. I had my Golf R done by Jay as well. Best thing is to fire a note and ask him - http://www.miglior.co.uk/
Price can swing massively depending what you have done and the state of the paint. My S5 for example had quite a bad scratch down the drivers side front wing that took over 2 hours work alone. I also had the wheels off and entire rim clay barred and same on the calipers and hubs plus interior done. Prices arent given until your car has been looked over.
MPG is getting better i got 35 on the mway today and 18 around town and that was being gentle on the journey from Accrington toLiverpool. I suspect things will improve slightly with more miles. I dont plan on going that easy all the time though! As long as the engine is upto temp i plan to drive it hard when possible.
On another note i filled it from empty today with vpower nitro and it cost a whisker under 69 quid.

I had a test drive today. Was very impressed overall. What surprised me most was the ride, very comfortable at all speeds. Engine sounds good and was louder than expected. Some nice burbles and pops on downshifts at low speeds when in dynamic and manual mode. Gearbox was smooth at speed and a little sensitive in first gear but that was probably just me getting used to it.

Demo car was black with privacy glass and grey leather. A fantastic combination and that's what I have ordered so very pleased.

MPG wise over around 25 miles having fun I got around 22/23 mpg. Driving a mix of town, country and dual carriageway I got 37/38 mpg over around 20 miles driving gently/normally.

Good write up, and good to know the MPG can be decent if being driven accordingly. Don't get me wrong I don't intent to drive mine like Miss Daisy but what got me about my B8 S4 was it was bad on juice regardless of how it was driven, my Golf R will get mid to high 30s on a run and I hope the S5 can match that due to its longer gearing. The Golf is revving quote high at motorway speeds compared to what the S5 will be.

Thanks for the feedback, detailing is a whole other world.I don't think I'd go quite as far as taking the wheels off, but paint correction and sealant would be worthwhile in my opinion.

As for the MPG, 35 on the motorway sounds really good and 18 around town sounds not too bad although obviously it is still running in, although these data don't know what sort of difference it really makes.
Like you I plan on driving as hard as possible as much as possible as long as I don't end up getting under 20 MPG over the 2 years then I'm going to be relatively happy.

I was just about to post on here to see if anyone had managed to find a dealer with a demonstrator yet, I don't suppose you're dealing with anywhere near North Oxfordshire was it?

Although I have ordered the car, and I was planning on avoiding a test drive think the longer I got to wait the more I would like to go and give one a blast. does anyone know if Audi are keen on extended test drives where you have the car for a morning, an afternoon or even a bit longer?

It's worth noting the demonstrator had over 2k miles in it.

I'm in the essex/Suffolk area.

Can't believe how poor it was..Bet you're pleased with the result.

I've bought some sealant and tested it on my e class and it's worked well so will be polishing and applying a sealant to the S5.

Both York and Manchester had Nav blue ones parked outside that looked like demos.

I had the car for a couple of hours. Much better than a quick drive around the block with someone watching over you.

Does anyone know if the electrically folding mirrors automatically fold/unfold when you lock/unlock the car?

Having done a few hundred miles more I have more mpg updates...

My overall mpg is now 19 with an average speed of 33mph. That's a mistake of motorway. A roads and a bit of town. The best I have managed is 34mpg on a 72mph cruise control drive.

Next time I fill up I will monitor the litres and miles to check how accurate digital data is.

After seeing those pics I'm very pleased i've ordered nav blue!

Has anyone else ordered a sportback with Fleetsauce and promised a late march delivery? I managed to get logged in to the Audi site to see the progress and my car now has a construction start date of 13th March, does anyone have any idea how long it takes from construction to delivery?

Yep - ordered a SB with Fleetsauce 11th Nov and was quoted end March delivery.

YourAudi is currently stating 10th April as build start date which is a bit of a pain.

Am hoping it will improve. I'll be contact FS next week to see what they say re any impact cost wise if it's going to be a post end March delivery, which is looking likely.
