Lease on Golf R

My papers for a Business Contract Hire have been back with Leaseplan for 7 working days and haven't heard anything about my order being placed yet!

I think I may have to start hassling them as otherwise I wont get a car before September!

Sent gateway2lease a email for a quote but they haven't emailed me back yet, that was Friday night and sent away one again yesterday (I'm impatient I know) are they normally slow to reply or will I try request a call back?

I'd call them. They are normally very quick to respond to emails so perhaps there is a problem somewhere.

I would keep on top of them 'cos I wouldn't expect it to take that long?!

No problem, It was around £2100 deposit and £350 a month INC VAT. i know there were better deals to be done in March but i was a bit early.

10k pa - but i know im going to go over this. but if the car is as good as everyone is making out I will probably buy it at the end.

Make sure you check if you can buy, as most of these good deals dont have an option buy at the end, and also check the additional milage as it is very high on these vehicles from what i saw.

On a slightly different note, could anyone answer if their R's got delivered with floor mats - didnt really want to buy some myself but will have to if they dont come with?

Mine came with mats, and the iPhone leads - so nothing extra to buy

Deposit of £2021.94 and 23 months @ £306.99. So I imagine if I had the same options it would be close to your price. That was after the jump. Before that Lease Plan Go offered the same car, but £1800 deposit and £297 a month. So a jump, but not too drastic. I've applied for a new job and still don't have an answer. New job will be commuting by train, so this will be perfect.

Hi all,

What are the rough lead times people are seeing, from pressing the order to delivery? I have a quote from Gateway 2 leasing, mentioned in other post, where delivery estimated - end of July. Are people seeing the estimates being conservative or generally delivered way before?

Want to VT my A4, however I have until August, so the R fits into my plans, however if it is delivered say June time, not sure whether they fancy waiting two months to deliver it.

Any views? I suspect that given the influx of new orders, there may be some additional waiting time, which in my case works for me..

Current delivery times are approx 12 to 14 weeks for business users and 14 to 16 for private. Private delay is due to cooling off period.

Iv ordered on my business through Lease Plan Go for a 64 plate mid September delivery.

Lapiz Blue, 5 door, DSG, Basic Nav, Rear Camera, Rear airbags, Fully Maintained, 10k mileage pa:
£305 inc vat for 24 months with £1800 deposit.

My car was ordered with the dealer this week and they were quoting week 29 for build and somewhere in August for delivery. The dealer also said that they had processed quite a few 7R orders this week though and that this date could well slip.
I'll be happy if I can pick it up on the 1st Sept.

Today I was quoted £370 inc. for a 3door DSG with metallic paint. 15k miles per annum over 24 months, fully maintained. was told the deal was 'about to expire' - whether that's true or not is anyone's guess. Anybody else have quotes for mileage around 12k + miles from the past couple of days? And who with?

I've mentioned adding the Dynaudio sound system upgrade as Vienna leather, but the lease company don't seem to want to know about it. Is that normal?

Only just seriously considering a 2 year personal lease, these prices seem decent. Looks like I missed out on the m135i a month or two ago. Is there always a 'flavour of the month' car which gets leased? Wonder what will come after the Golf R..? Cheers guys, new to forum!

If it was gateway2lease they said the same thing to me today. They said it was the 3dr and they only had a few deals left but there were still plenty of 5 doors

Hurrah! Ridgeway Motors in Newbury have my order from LeaseplanGo.

The dealer has already called to confirm my (basic) spec and I will have an order number tomorrow.

FYI the car is a 5 door DSG in Lapiz Blue with rear airbag/seatbelt warning option (I have 4 year old twins) - this is on a 3 + 23 @ £292.61 inc VAT which is for 7k per annum and inc full maintenance and tyres.
