Next we need an histogram of time from date ordered to build week, then when we get more data, we can look for patterns in variation due to colour, gearbox, body type... taking it too far? ;-)Name | Car | Manual or DSG | Colour | Date Ordered | Build Week | Delivery Date | |

Surprised no reds so far. Is it because the metallic was free that people didn't go for it (so in effect you're getting a worse deal)
Ordered 11am on the 7.7.16 car went for final production test at 22:07 on the 13.9.16...
To be fair my experience in the last few days were a bit strange with SEAT CS, I think because there are only a few checkpoints SEAT CS don't really know where they are.
My car was in the UK, dealer was on there way to collect it from the docks to get it registered in September, SEAT CS had said an hour earlier it was on the docs in Barcelona!

Thanks Jon Just spoke to Seat CS and I felt more fobbed off by them than by the dealership. He said I need to speak to the dealer as there is nothing he could do.
I'll call CVL and see what they say. Not holding out much hope though

We don't know how long CVL took to send the orders over / Dealer key them in, plus the take up was probably more than they imagined, I would have thought mine was a good 2 weeks in the system before the influx of order went in from the lease companies.
I got the impression when I collected that his initial excitement of me getting the Cupra (think he had delivered 5 all year when I went it) had turned from how rare to utter carnage that had been the last 3 months of people ringing for the "best" deals and having to do handovers on 50 (number made up) Cupra's over the next coming weeks with people ringing up asking where they were....
He also knew that I would sign papers electronically so sending a truck down for mine wasn't an issues as they had dealt with me previously, CVL dealers don't know you lot from the next person so have to follow the correct procedure with regards finance and handovers, my handover was him giving me the Key and saying see you later, I left my part ex there with no money for it and went back the week later to sort the paperwork out for it.

I am consoling myself, throughout this long wait, with the thought that all you early birds will have to give the car back sooner as well
Good point that I'm concerned already about the next "deal", I did the official handover to the wife yesterday after 8 days of keeping it mint
It went like this:
Me: OK there is NO damage to any alloy or panel, there are NO stains on any of the seats or carpet or headlining, can we keep it this way?
wife: FFS just send it back, I'm not driving a car that I have to be worried about constantly"
Me: But its really fast...
End of conversation, she went to work in my Audi

Spitting my dummy out a bit I know, just frustrating when you have ordered something so long ago and with build/delivery impending you are told it isn't going to be what you wanted!
Also £250 of high street vouchers? Who even shops at HMV and Sports direct these days - rather just have £250.
I guess I better learn to like white cars over the next few weeks.
When its sunny everyone thinks mines white anyway, when its dark they think its blue, no one has said its grey yet, so your only 50% hard done by :-)Also £250 of high street vouchers? Who even shops at HMV and Sports direct these days - rather just have £250.

Quite an interesting picture being painted now, Mine was actually week 37 not 36 build, Nunpuncher ordered day before me and was built 2 weeks after mine yet delivered in December sometime when mine was delivered in September, other week 38's will no delivery date.
Seems like the demand really stretched Seat, I don't think the dealer setup is coping well with it, most dealerships are smaller or shared sites and compared to VW there in short supply so physically getting them in and back out the door might be an issue.

As I mentioned earlier, the lad I met the other week just updated his cancelled order thread with the below...
"The whole order has been binned, no alternative offered. Need to find something else now.
I'm still not convinced the order was placed correctly.........Order Form is 10th Sept and nothing in Finance system after a month....seems dodgy!
Dave"

Did he order via a broker or direct with a SEAT dealer?"The whole order has been binned, no alternative offered. Need to find something else now.

I suspect the issue is with a broker - not heard of any cancellations or paint changes with a direct order.
Or am I wrong?
