A TVR V8 to an Audi TT you are all just admitting defeat.
ANYONE can OWN a TVR does not mean you can drive it.
What is the point of having some 4x4 computer drive my car for me. A 500 is ALOT faster than a 450 in anycase. If you don't think power to weight is important then you are on the wrong forum - seem to be in th wrong one anyway with a toy car and no name on profile. You put any TVR on a Track and the power to weight is alot more important that all that 4x4 crap.
Now if you had a short wheelbase (real) Quattro - then you might get some repect, other wise best just get lost.

Easy boys! Relax, it's a car. It's not life and death.
It comes down to what you want in your car. German build quality, jelly mould styling (albeit distinctive), boring engine and a car as common as muck that is totaly impractical (roadster) Vs British hand built reliability, classic styling, fantastic engine and rarity with GT capabilities as an added bonus.
Yes on a wet road the TT is the faster car but who wants to be driving quick in the wet? TVR drivers want a sense of occasion whenever they drive their car, even if that occasion is waiting for the tow truck . We love the noise, the drama and the rarity. Not something you get with the TT.
At the end of the day, despite their similarities they are too different to compare. If you want to compare the TT to something go to the Boxter forum or the S2000 forum. They all have more in common with the TT. Not the Chimaera or any other Tiv.

Ok, this is getting silly now (can't spell facile). Lets keep it to a sensible discussion or we'll close the thread.
Pistonheads is all about cars and people who are enthusiastic about cars. Different opinions make for interesting discussions which is a good thing. One mans TVR is another mans TT to paraphrase badly.
As this is the Audi forum there will be strong views in favour of the TT, you don't have to agree but a balance and reasoned argument in favour of your views will be better received.
Cheers.
