Can anyone help?
I've just bought a brand new A4 Avant fitted with an Audi Concert II Audio unit (with single CD player and CD changer function)and would like to fit a CD Autochanger, but refuse to pay Audi dealship prices.
I'm led to believe from scanning various adverts for autochangers for sale on Ebay that the new A4 has a connection in the boot for simply plugging in an autochanger. Is this true? and what brand of autochanger will fit and be compatible with the existing Audi Concert II unit?
I hear a Sony CDX T69 Autochanger is compatible. Assuming this is true, if I buy a new one from a retailer will I need to buy a special connection lead or will the standard connections supplied with the unit just plug in to existing connections on the car?

I've just bought a new A3 with Concert radio, but was initially told (before I got the car) that it had the tape deck only, so I enquired with several local Car Radio shops (as Audi wanted £250) and was told that a Sony unit would work, but that it would need a 'module' to enable the CD changer & head unit to communicate.

Best price I was quoted was £139 with a £39 fitting charge (but I imagine the fitting is fairly easy).

www.vagparts.co.uk - easy fit as the cabling should be there up to the boot and you shouldn't have to remove the head unit in recent Audis.

Returning to this thread, the Sony CDX T69 http://products.sony.co.uk/productdetail.asp?id=__1804&search=cdx+t69
will indeed fit (needs a 'module' @ approx £40 to work from concert unit) also available, using the same module, is the Sony CDX-T70MX unit
http://products.sony.co.uk/productdetail.asp?id=__1805&search=CDX%2DT70MX
which is MP3 compatible - so you can get alot more music on to 6 discs.

I have just fitted this to the A3 & it fits in the glovebox (with a bit of work).

Or you can simply buy an Audi changer (made by Matsushita/Panasonic) on ebay, usually around £80.
