The factory swivelling towbar should drop down from underneath the bumper. Might just be stuck.

Congrats. If planning to keep the car a long time I would get the gearbox fluid and brake fluid done at a local Audi indy because my money would be on a main dealer not having actually done it in any of those service periods. Might even be worth getting the engine oil done as well.
Both done recently - details a couple of posts above.
By an independent?

Thank you all,
So, the towbar works, but needs a little help to come out at first, once out, goes back in and out again no issues.
After a week, I now got used to the MMI, would still prefer a touch screen but, for how I use the system, still perfectly fine.
Compared to my previous car, you can really feel the weight of the car when cornering and under heavy break. On motorways, I need to watch my speed as I got to 80/90 without noticing a few times.
Overall the car feels solid!
I’m 10mpg down compared to my previous car but, acceptable considering that it’s an SUV.
Do like the wheels but, don’t look forward to replacing the tyres!
The only downside is that I find the seat really firm and becomes uncomfortable fairly quickly, probably due to my back problem more than the actual seat (I come from super comfy Volvo seats). Still playing around to find the best position.
I’m yet to find another Q5 on the road of the safe colour.

One week in and very please.

Glad you're enjoying it and hope you soon find a fitting driving position.

I really like the Uniroyal Rainsport 5 as a road/SUV tyre; to my mind there's very little point in pushing one of these cars hard on the road so ultimate dry-weather high-speed performance is not a priority. The Uniroyal in my experience lasts and works well, and in the wet feels brilliant. You might choose something more aggressive for an SQ5, but even those are normally used as a regular family car.

They're already excellent value (£210 ea currently in your size), and through RAC tyres on ebay often have 20% off this. If you have the space I'd suggest pre-buying some when you're within 6 months of needing them.

Excellent thank you!

One question being my first auto, what is the correct procedure to park?
I currently put in N, than press P than handbreak. Correct?

I use the handbrake first then pop it straight into P. If on a steep hill you don't want it blocking off and stressing the parking pawl before the handbrake takes hold.

Just hold your foot on the brake (like 1 1/2 seconds) until the green P turns red. No need to add additional steps

Does your car not have auto hold?

It has hill hold. I'm wondering if the green P thing is for the newer models?

My 2016 golf has the light. Its green when its on hill hold and red when parking brake is applied.

Audis should be the same

EDIT: here is a picture of the light on a 2018 Q5

I'm sure mine doesn't have that. My handbrake applies automatically if I open a door whilst moving slowly and I think it also applies when I switch off the ignition and get out (can't remember). I've got hold assist, but I'm sure it doesn't use the handbrake because I would hear it and it only holds for about 3 or so seconds.

But I still think it's good practice to apply the handbrake first before shifting into P to protect the parking pawl due to the differences in how cars may operate.
