Hi

Had a look around at the two Q5 below, going back Saturday with the intention to buy either.
My current car has been valued between 10 and 11k irrespective of which Q5 I go for.
Both have reverse camera and apple car play which are the two options I only car about.

The red one has ‘better’ wheels which apparently are very sought after (doesn’t bother me..).

The blue one seems better value for money even if slightly older.

Anything I’ve missed which will make either car better than the other one?

Thanks

Thanks,
Looks wise, I like both colours but, I do agree on the wheels of the red one, those are also 21” which would impact the ride.

Had a second look at the spec sent by the dealer, the red one comes with automatic opening (don’t need to use the fob to unlock the car).

Apart from that, they seem the same to me, wouldn’t think that the ‘special key’ and being one year younger (and with more miles) would add that much money on top of the blue one?

Dr G said:
Seek written clarification on history with blue car; do not accept a sales person's verbal confirmation or the "Audi standard" rubbish:

No engine oil between 14 and 40k.

No gearbox oil done (due 40k).
Great info, thank you both!
Dr G, where can I find the same sort of info for the red Q5?
Providing that the engine oil and gearbox oil have now been completed, are there any watch out from previous missed services (I guess more wear on the engine and gearbox?).
Proof of work carried out will only be available on a paper receipt?

Thank you

Hi,
Need some more help please, the dealer has come back with the below, sounds right? On their website (Jardine Motorgroup Aylesbury) it says cambelt change at 5 years or required mileage ..

Cambelts don’t need to be changed until 140,000 miles they are no longer time based just mileage based.

Q5 Red (RRX) has camera
Rear pads changed. (front pads are 70% and we would change at 80%)
Rear spring cups
Brake fluid change
Gearbox

I also have been given service schedules reports, pics for the red one, looks ok at first glance

Thanks

To close this off..

After a bit of back and forward, I’ll be collecting this one next week.
I’ve also discovered that has the electric towbar installed, just need the swan neck I think as when pushing the button in the boot you can hear the motor going.
4 brand new tyres (21”) also included and a good px for my car.

Thank you all,
So, the towbar works, but needs a little help to come out at first, once out, goes back in and out again no issues.
After a week, I now got used to the MMI, would still prefer a touch screen but, for how I use the system, still perfectly fine.
Compared to my previous car, you can really feel the weight of the car when cornering and under heavy break. On motorways, I need to watch my speed as I got to 80/90 without noticing a few times.
Overall the car feels solid!
I’m 10mpg down compared to my previous car but, acceptable considering that it’s an SUV.
Do like the wheels but, don’t look forward to replacing the tyres!
The only downside is that I find the seat really firm and becomes uncomfortable fairly quickly, probably due to my back problem more than the actual seat (I come from super comfy Volvo seats). Still playing around to find the best position.
I’m yet to find another Q5 on the road of the safe colour.

One week in and very please.

Excellent thank you!

One question being my first auto, what is the correct procedure to park?
I currently put in N, than press P than handbreak. Correct?
