Mate, you need to get your car booked in for engine work.

6 months ago I was behind you in traffic and you were killing me with your plooms of blue smoke from the left bank after pulling away from the lights.

Today I was behind you again, and your smoking problem is worse. Didn't you notice the 306 DTurbo style blackness of your rear bumper around the left exhaust? Do you EVER look in your mirror? smile

Please, for the sake of the bunnies (and my lungs), please get your engine fixed. Thanks.

There's oil recirculation, then there's plooms of smoke from one bank that makes it look like an old diesel Cavalier.

The amount of smoke coming out of this thing is enough to make it impossible to see the back of the car as it pulls off. Last time I encountered him I had to pull well back because I was literally choking. The BMW that pulled into the gap soon dropped well back as well.

I agree a small puff is fine, but this really does look like a broken valve seal as it only does it after taking off from idling, I followed him 10 miles and there was no smoke at all on dual carriageway and motorway driving.

Hmm..well I think if I were an MOT tester, I think I'd be failing it for excessive smoke. I can't see how emitting lots of rancid blue smoke is in any way environmentally friendly, or socially acceptable. I'd be pissed if I spent that money on a car like that and had the back bumper discolouring due to the massive amounts of crap coming out the exhaust.

Hell, my VAG PD powered car emits much less crap, and it's not exactly a low emission car.
