Thanks not concours but i'll do my best to keep it tidy, btw your enginebay is much cleaner and very nice!
Cheer Mischa, although mine does not look that shiny anymore, an occasional wipe with a damp cloth is all I have managed over the last few years. I have a ACT plenum being delivered soon so mine will look very similar to yours.MPoxon said:

Hi Matthew, you will not be disappointed with the ACT twin plenum kit, just take yr time to install (with all wires etc) if you do that yourself and after that your car FLIES even more, throttle response is awsome very significant in total!!It looks great the carbon etc...

That is good to hear Mischa, I am getting my specialist to fit the kit along with a baffled sump as I am useless with a spanner. I am looking forward to getting the car back soon and testing it out on the track. From others I have spoken to the throttle response is great and allows you to get on the power much quicker out of corners. I'll chuck a thread up in the Griff forum with my thoughts when i have had a chance to test it out fully. I agree it does look fantastic and I have these nice crinkle finish rockers to match the carbon fibre:It looks great the carbon etc...

My car has a standard fitting and i've never had a problem with it.
I am not seeing what the benefit of this 'new' bonnet stay is.
my bonnet stay was not attached to the horizontal stay (like yours) so was separate, so i had to keep it in the boot or behind the seats.I am not seeing what the benefit of this 'new' bonnet stay is.
this new stay is attached to the horizontal stay so for me it is better and easier to use...

Wow that looks great a bit retro with that finish! Nice flame trap where does it come from?
You are teasing me with these fantastic pictures when mine is away at the garage and I cannot drive it. Hopefully she will be back next week with a shiny new plenum. The flame trap is from a gentleman called Clive Letherby, a fellow Griffith nutter and very nice chap and runs a company called Point CNC. I know it is only a flame trap but it is work of art, I am really pleased with it.

I recently fitted one of the newly designed bonnet stays.
It looks good but It does seem quite easy to bend the jubilee clips out of shape, especially when trying to locate the bar with one hand.
Also, am I the only one who still needs to use oven gloves to hold on to the silicone tubing?

Yes silicon tubing is as hot as the rest of the stay. Thin open weave black string winding is much better or Scholl Tubegauze finger bandage from chemist, even better. My clips are ok. Interesting idea, but what would stop the wind throwing the bonnet over the windscreen, or is there a fixing at the bottom of the rod that the photo doesn't show?
Must be some good cider in Suomerset !! Like your Griff Alex, the bonnet clips down safely at the back. We dont't impress the Chim guys by driving about with our bonnets in the air. Edited by EGB on Sunday 23 March 21:13
