Rear Number Plate Light Mod

If the lights are faulty and you haven't changed anything then there's clearly an issue.
This could be poor wiring, corroded bulb holders/ bases, a faulty relay or a combination of these.
I don't know the Grief / Chimp fuseboard layout. The indicator relay is located [remotely] below the steering wheel in the Wedge and the S but on the fuse board on the T cars (iirc).
You need to check the connections but if all of the indicators are effected then the relay would seem the sensible place to start. Standard indicator relays are pretty cheap so if you can't find a local TVR owner who can lend you one just take your one to the motorfactors and get it matching one.
As for switching to LEDs, it is either a 'CF13' or a 'CF14' relay that is required. just match up the wiring numbers / diagram on the existing relay with the two I have ref'd.
I don't think they're faulty, it's just the new super bright tail and stop lamps have rendered them dim. This could be poor wiring, corroded bulb holders/ bases, a faulty relay or a combination of these.

Thanks for the pointer to the relay number
Now who has the indicator LED bulb numbers/type?
Finally got round to looking at my rear indicators, I felt the front and side were good enough but the rears were getting lost in amongst the new bright tail and stop lights. I bought a pair of these which suggested I would not need to change relays or have any error warnings
The suggestion was spot on and both indicators and hazards operate fine and they make a phenomenal difference as I'll try to show in the following picture [url]|https://thumbsnap.com/XpLeDCUl[/url
Here's a little video hopefully

Interesting. Not sure what the difference is but these ones are also listed on the site and seem very similar.

Anyone know the difference between 382 and 581 type bulbs?

Well..... st They don't seem to have them any more.
I assume this is a suitable alternative? https://www.car-mod-shop.co.uk/382smd-1156-382-ba1...
These look similar:

Then the indicators here:

I've bought some e-bay options and they may be cheaper but they've all been a disappointment - this was for the Landy but now using the more expensive ones which are brighter and don't fall apart when fitting. Buy right or buy twice.

I bought a 4 pack of the indicators for both Griffs and need another 4 for the Landy so I'll get some more. As the lights are now bright it was more difficult to see the indicators but not any more. They took a while to arrive and they seem to do discounts regularly so don't pay full price. You can take your chance with an e-bay set but the ones I've had for about 1/2 the price have been duller than the standard so binned them.FFG
