Mr Big is talking about getting his Griffith totally resprayed (the same colour - Azurite Blue - metallic) just to sort out the stone chips and a minor scrape. Anyone an idea of cost? I need to know if I am going to get a holiday this year or not

Any recommendations in South East England?

I bought my car from a fellow PHer "lake".

He had the Griff resprayed due to stone chips somewhere in the south and it looks fantastic. I have photos of the work in progress and the reciepts at home (I think).
If he cant help you then I'll take a look.

BTW: He now has a Cerbera so you may find him in that forum.

I got several quotes a few months ago for a complete respray of a Griffith - they ranged from £1300 - £2000 in Starmist Mica Blue.

Cheers - I'll drop Lake an email. £2k is not too bad - might still be able to have a week in Croyde as well

I just had mine resprayed by Dave Batty's man near Guildford. He also did my last Griff - a total respray.

This one was 700 for complete front end. The last one was 1800 for everything.

I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a quote.

If you've only got stone chips and a scratches you could probably get away with much less than a full respray, i.e. remove all polish and laquer, touch-in, buff and re-laquer. The front end and mirrors may well need a respray, but the flanks possibly don't.

My Griff has 6-years of stone chips and scratches and I've been quoted two prices to get it done;

1) "What's necessary" = £800 plus VAT
2) "Full respray" = £1,400 plus VAT

Decided to go for the cheaper option and spend the extra on more engine modifications!
