Whilst driving at almost warp speed on Sunday down a nice dry country road minding my own business, a stone "obviously left on the road by some inconsiderate farmer" lepted up bounced off the bonnet ,removing paint from the car, and chipped my windscreen. Does anyone happen to know the cost of replacing this. A windcreen on a 1993 Griff.

Check your insurance, you may be able to get the screen repaired free - this depends on how big the chip is and where on the screen it is. Also, most fully comp policies cover windscreen damage, you pay the first £50 or so, they pay the rest, and it doesn't affect your No Claims. Failing that, I think it is around £200 - £300 for a screen, but there is quite often a wait for the parts, and make sure whoever is doing the replacement knows what they are doing, some places have been known to slash the trim while trying to cut the screen out of it's bonding! Best to use the same place your dealer does, at least they will have some experienc ================ Graham and Rosie
