Davis here ! If someone can measure one i can take a look(my Griff is being "Tarakerered"!
:0 sorry DAVID

Right had a measure
total Lenght between too ball joints centers is 400mm extended the main body is 230mm long(which is static anyway) and the smaller extending one is 170mm.
Not sure on diameters to be precise.
Dont know which one would be better as the two nearest are 414 and 416 mm long If thats overall length then they wont be far off.
What you recon?
FFG if I order then yeah sure be happy to sell you the other.. Wont be at Hunstanton, but will be happy to post it on if it comes before the GG

BB, still no Griff so still can not say if they are ok. Something i was thinking of was auto open, ie not having to lift the lid, just gently rising. If the struts like my "big ones" on the chicken coup(sp)(long story) they have adjustable pressure. Still have to press the boot shut though.
I got hold of one from another vehicle but it was a bout an inch too long, 550n. Would have popped open nicely like your chicken coup i would think, wasnt adjustable though. And there wasnt enough room on the bracket to drill another hole to make it fit.
may order a pair and see what they are like.

Try these people chaps
www.camloc.com
They made the original gas springs on the Griffith and will make you just about anything (I used to work for them)
They are in Leicester and used to pride themselves on being able to make anything, so a call to their technical department may be worth a shot.
The only downside is they wont be cheap if you are buying something special.
