So, over on the Wedge forum:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=12&t=47391

..they're talking about mileages.

How much do you use yours?

Seven year old - 74,950...

...and counting!

14,000 in 11 months, although that has tailed off recently. I actually did about 9,000 miles in the first 6 months!

2nd car, although it is a tad more reliable than the Land Rover that I try to use for site work.

18,000 in 12 months, then 5,000 in 6 years. Just too expensive to run as an only vehicle IMHO!

It's off the Griff milage topic but a Guy turned
up at the Surrey TVR CC with a Chimaera with
around 114,000 miles on it... locked quite nice
for the milage.

He paid < 8k.

About 19k miles at the moment, since new in September 1998.

I must admit to driving less on the roads over the last couple of years, mainly due to the increased hazards of the anti speedists and growing congestion.

Ironically, the more I 'learn' the car, the quicker I want to go, so mostly these days the milage is to/during/from sprints, hillclimbs and track days and increasingly I'm giving up on trying to compromise on stuff (like camber & toe-in settings), and optimising it for track use where I get the most enjoyment.

Have been driving mine pretty much every day this summer - it always annoys me when I get out of work, it's sunny and I haven't brought the Griff! I'm really of the mind-set that it's not worth having if you don't get out and use it. 6000 miles in 6 months or so.

Bought a 3 1/2 year old 500 in March with 5,300 miles, now has 13,200 in exactly 4 months.

Extrapolating from this mileage rate, I should hit 100k on 30th December 2006 and have spent £19,386 on Optimax at 80.9p per litre.

Hmm, I wondered why I didn't want to log the cost per mile.

I can't afford to now after a chassis refurbishment and new shocks.

If your at the meet next Tuesday I should be there. Steve still has some fiddling to do as the ride height at the back is abit low despite him having measured it to the same as the front.
