no , they are made especially for TVR as are the discs do not fit ford parts, they are not that expensiveit is worth the extra to put the proper parts on this critical system

Yes, to be on the safe side buy through your dealer who will ensure you get the right size/shape pads of the correct compound - they usually aren't any more expensive than buying yourself. But if you are happy taking the responsibility to spec the right parts, you will find the braking components are all standard Ford parts which you can buy through any of the normal channels, the only slightly tricky bit is to make sure you get a good fast road pad and not the standard mass produced stuff.

Just to carry on this thread
the discs on a Griff are not standard I was replacing my warped discs ( hiho) and was at the factory watching the blanks being machined and cylindrically ground, the braking system is not standard ford parts

I didn't know TVR machined their own discs but it makes sense in some ways (ten quid saved is ten quid earned and all that). But I expect you'd find they are machining it to the same dimensions as a standard Ford part. People do routinely fit discs from other sources, including drilled/grooved etc. Similarly for pads, they're standard Ford calipers and you can buy pads to fit from all the usual outlets. The tricky bit is recognising which of the many different standard parts got used on your particular car!

As I ran out of time to get somewhere to get standard Ford Mk3 Granada pads I ended up having to be 'ripped off' by Henley Heritage for £70 of my hard earned for ...... wait for it ...... you guessed it ............

A set of 'standard' Motorcraft FORD rear pads for a Mk 3 Granada .....

I could get higher spec pads for 1/2 that money !!!!

Advice kindly reveived though gentlemen .....

Biggest shout goes out to Mark at Tower View Services who kindly fitted them for me for free ! Bless 'em !

Thanks for the offer Mav, just too late I'm afraid as I wasn't prepared to do DOnington with only 2-3mm of material left on the pads... and only had 48hrs to get it sorted ...
