My Griff is lacking its front spoiler (top marks due to the official dealer who sold it to me without a front spoiler, without a roof bag, and with a broken rear wishbone!) Does anyone know if the front spoiler can be replaced easily? Does it make that much of a difference to road holding ? Any snippets of wisdom appreciated! Cheers.

If you mean the 'bib' spoiler underneath then it's worth getting put back - helps keep the running temperature in check. Knocked mine off in France over rubble & the temp went quirky.

Hi I presume this is the metal lip spoiler underneath the car. I've knocked mine off a couple of times (on the same damp speedramp with raised cobblestone type effect, in Cookham), the part is only about £15 plus screwing it on. The second time it only half peeled off and started dragging along the road making an awful noise. As this was rush hour i had to wait a few hundred yards to find a space to stop. Embarrasing! Not sure it this helps cooling, or a high speed aerodynamic tweek, or both.

I had 2 out of 3 on that as well. (No bib, no roof bag) neither have bothered me much. The roof bag is a good idea I suppose but I know a lot of people who don't bother due to time. As for the bib underneath (assuming this is what we are talking about) it is desigend to disrupt the airflow under the car and aid cooling. I have never had a problem without one, including the Le Mans run last year. If you weren't there, it was as hot as a hot thing on a hot day sitting in a hot spot with no breeze, if you catch my drift ! Might be worth getting one at your next service though, just in case.
