Does anyone know where to source the Yellow and Green triangular LEDs in the heater panel from? I tried maplin and got this answer from them:

Hello
Thank you for contacting Maplin Technical Support. Order code YY54 is a red triangular LED. Cylindricals are order codes; YH72 red, YH73 green. These are the only ones we stock.

The cylindrial ones I think are the small round ones on the same panel.

(I sent my dash and heater panel to London Carriage craft for re veneering. The LEDs took some abuse to get out!)

Thanks BB. Are these the correct round ones? (the small hot/cold indicators, not the bigger one for the mirror heater)

I can't find the triangular ones now!

Also £4.25 for delivery of a 9p led is a bit steep!

That link doesnt work, never has been good as it has http and www. in the address so 2 addresses are in the link

The triangular green one here think its 3mm you might want to measure your one just to double check. www.optomanfcorp.co.uk/pinned-leds-search.asp?types=yes&type=Pinned+LEDs-Triangular+LED+Lamps

Also this place does them www.plusopto.co.uk/ledlamps/genpurpose.html

Thanks chaps. Triangular ones are 5mm on all sides and the round ones are 3mm.
Maplin do all but the yellow triangles.
I have emailed TMS and another company from one of the links above to see if they can do them. I'll let you know hoe it goes.

Just a quick update on these little fellas. I have just given Nick at TMS contact details for someone who can supply the yellow triangles. (he couldn't get hold of them, neither could Maplin).
This means that TMS can now supply all of the LEDs on the heater panel for about 80p each.

And,

You can get the round ones from Maplin and RS components if you live nearby, small round (3mm) Cylindrical ones with a flat top are made by Kingbright, stock nos; L424HDT Red, L424GDT Green. Maplin order codes; YH72 red, YH73 green. RS stock numbers; 247-1139 red,229-2497 Green.

Triangular ones are also made by Kingbright, stock number L-323GD (Green) and L-323YD (Yellow). Maplin supposedly stock the green ones as YY55k, but not the yellow ones.

So, don't bother wasting hours carefully prising them out of the panel if you are re veneering it!

Hi

Is this a comprehensive list of all the LED's in the car and would anyone say that this is universal across most/all Griff's? Mine is a 98 500.

If this isnt a comprehensive list can anyone supply one with the part no's/pattern no's etc?

The reason is that I have a supplier (for the business) who hopefully can help out...and hopefully at everyones favourite price!!

These are for all Griff 500s and are just the difficult to obtain flat topped triangular and cylindrical ones.
All the others are standard, domed top LEDs which can be obtained anywhere.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I have finally got round to fitting all of the replacement LEDs i needed when I had my heater panel re veneered and was a bit ham fisted freeing the LEDS from their glue. (you can source them from my previous posts above). Just thought I'd let you know that they are the correct ones, all fit perfectly and are a doddle to replace. I was kindly sent some yellow triangular samples foc and have a couple left if anyone wants them, pm me and i'll stick them in the post.
