.......... what should i be looking for?

It's a 2.25 Diesel 1982 ex military in military green. Done 73419 miles and says in good condition with no tax or mot. Come with a soft and hardtop for £1450 ono.

What problems are common on these that i need to look out for and is the price about right?

Ta very much!!!

The top bulkhead panel, with the vent in often rusts. Is a few hundred quid if you can find one.

If it,s diesel, then more than likely ex-Dutch army.As mentioned, check bulkhead and inside the footwells. Also check rear cross member.Make sure all the electrics work,as if its 24 volt, parts can be a bit of a headache.

Ta!!

Been see it and bulk head needs a little patch work, but seems ok. Nothing a pair of pliers and a blowtorch won't sort out!!!!!!!

taking a mate up tomorrow to see if it will pass an MOT. Body work is sound though and Mrs T is even thinking of a name!!!!!

will keep you updated. How is the price though?

If its how you say it is,then the price is more than fair.On the market a decent one will start around the £2,350 mark, going up to about £6,000 for a real minter. At times i wished i kept mine.........

It depends on what you want to put on it.In original army service, they were shod with Goodyear 650x16 Hi-Milers.But these are extremely hard to find now.Best on looking through the LR magazines and take a piick from there.
