Ladies and gents, I'm after a 'ballpark' figure for my recently deceased grandfathers Land Rover 90. It's about 17 yr old and has about 30-40k on the clock however, when I say that it is in excellent condition, I mean it is virtually showroom standard (which, for a farmer is unheard of!). My grandfather was obsessive about it and it spent the majority of its life in a heated garage. It never went off-road and if it ever got wet or dirty, it was cleaned immediately on return. With it's metallic paint and discovery wheels, it is probably the best example I have seen. Obviously, my gran has no need for it and has received a couple of enquiries to buy it
Can anyone give me a rough idea of what price we should be looking for? I'd buy it myself but simply do not have the space to keep it. Many thanks in advance....

Maybe answer the question that someone has asked you?
The badges and the age suggest its a late 300tdi. If the condition is as good as the mileage, I would say its worth £5-£6k which is the top end for 300tdi variants, but as you say it does look very clean.
However, its the underside that people will look at first. A clean body means nothing if the footwells are rotten and the outriggers look like swiss cheese.
The trouble with Defenders is they leak water and there are numerous water traps and thats the case with the new ones too, so even when they aren't doing anything, they can still be quietly eating your wallet
