Hi, trying to renew my insurance on a D130. This was purchased new in Jan 2023. The insurance are asking for a very specific criteria - that the immobiliser security device (immobiliser and alarm) conforms to Thatcham Cat 1 standards. Without this, there is no cover in the event of theft. Sadly the dealership are unable to confirm, so wondering if others have come across this issue. Appreciate any guidance on this. thanks

Yeah - I know. In fairness this is Saga insurance but they are coming out 50% below others. I just don't want to get caught out by some technicality incase the car goes AWOl. Cheers

Thanks - yes I can download the certificate which confirms the Tracker complies with S5... and landrover have confirmed that S5 is the highest level of security they provide. BUT neither confirm the requirements that the immobiliser conforms to Thatcham Cat 1... which is what the insurance are asking. i am trying to get the insurance to accept the S5 certificate but it is circular. FWIW the Saga insurance quote is 50% of the LV renewal quote... hence I want to make it work! Will report back if successful
