Going to look at an older S1 Disco, any tips?

Says it all in the title really, I am off to look at some sub 2k S1 Discoveries this week, for use as a towing vehicle and occasional off roader. I know boot floors are a problem, has anyone got any other tips?

I'm realistic on what I will get for my money, it's a second car so really does not need to be perfect. I'm happy to sort smaller DIY issues, just want to avoid anything hideous with engines/gearboxes/major corrosion.

I had a Series 3 LWB ex-RAF up until a few years ago so I know a fair bit about them.
