Another thing you could do is a bit of research into girls names then print a nice tag with the name and some ponsy words about the meaning of the name - girls love that kind of thing and would pay £1 at least to have it in a keyring.

If you're feeling really cheeky, you could go into Clintons with a camera phone, take pictures of such items and use very similar text.
Great idea, cheers

Im just thinkng if Makro or Costco sells batches of keyringsscratchchin

Do you have a hobbycraft near you? I've bought blank keyrings from there before.
Il check it out, thanks. Can you remember how much you paid for one?
Love, I can't remember what I had for dinner last night hehe

I'll see what I can drag up smile (or I might pop in and have a look tongue out)

I got hold of one of those Badge Makers from Argos and a couple of packs of blanks. I made Car related badges and forced my son to sell them at a show I attended. My car was on a club stand and he put out a table and sold them with a 50p mark up. I reckon I made £50, and nobody minded as my son was 10 at the time.

Very interesting thread. Nice to see you've got the entrepreneurial spirit.

Just thinking aloud... I suppose scaling up could be an issue. Something to think about: how can you turn your business into something that could make £10k profit a year? How much time would you need to put aside, for instance?

Have you thought of taking in a small digital camara into school on fancy dress or dress down day's usually a friday. You take the photos, take orders, (usually groups of freinds so multiple orders for one photo) print and assmeble key rings over weekend and sell them in school on the Monday?

Its a Gold Mine i tell ya !! biggrin

Cunning twist. Not recommended for any older PHers thinking of earning extra pocket money, mind. "Don't mind me, I'm just taking pictures of your teenage pupils."

what a great read!

now make a PH keyring and send it to Haymarket. if you hear nothing send them another. before you know it they may turn around and ask for some for the shop.

Then we could all have a keyring :P

I've not seen them in either.

And I seem to remember the Hobbycraft ones were about 79p for 4. I could be wrong though frown my poor memory isn't what it used to be.

Nah, I'll probably never do it anyway, I was thinking of creating a weatherproof device that allows you to attach an alarm fob to an ignition key, it's for bikers really!

I work for a company that sells mobility scooters and we buy keys rings with our company details 'in them'.
So have a look at anywhere that sells anything that needs a key ring.
Just another idea for the OP.

Like others have said, it's great the the OP is not moaning but having a go.

Also very nice to see KR giving business advice rather than asking for it wink
