Hi

Need some help, after a decision to close a company that me and a friend started approx 8 months ago and never traded (the company we worked for looked like it may go under) however we have both got new jobs and dont need the company as a back up.

We have registered with Corporation Tax as dormant, however the company is set up with Companies House. it has never traded and the bank account has always stayed at zero.

How do I close it?

Can anyone on PH do this?

At what cost?

Request that it be struck off. There is a standard form for this called a Form DS01 and can be downloaded as a pdf from the Companies House website here -

http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/forms/formsOnline...

All you need to do is print off the form, complete and sign it and send it in to Companies House by post together with a cheque for £10 made payable to Companies House.

That's it - job done.

This particular form can only be filed in paper. As yet, it has not been set up on the on-line filing system at Companies House.
Cheers Eric

Much apreciated.
