Those rumour website are full of BS tbh. They've been reporting a new Macbook Pro announcement since the beginning of the year which have all turned out to be nonsense so I've given up reading them now. I'll believe it when I can actually go into an Apple Store and see a physical one.
I'm going to wait till end of October, if there's not been an official announcement I'll be buying the current (my first) Macbook. It'll hopefully be a huge improvement over the 8 year old windows laptop I'm currently using.scratch pervert said:

If my current MBA's screen holds out I'll be doing similar. But will be buying a Dell XPS 13.http://www.macrumors.com/2016/10/17/macbook-pro-st...
It still seems to be expected this month.
I'm interested to see what the relationship between 13" MBB, 13" MBA and 12" MacBook, as they all seem very close to each other.

Very close but quite different though. It still seems to be expected this month.

The MB is an underperformer really and just a very expensive netbook with a good screen, or a high end tablet with a keyboard. Great portability but in reality just for surfing and email.
The MBA is a good lower range laptop, but a bit let down by the screen these days.
The MBPr is a viable working machine, well designed with good (albeit, as per this thread, a bit dated) internals, good screen and reasonable portability.
Imho the only one worth the price of admission was the MBPr (both in 13 and 15" a good buy), but a bit stale these days to justify the price.

I think tweaks to internals have been done this way in the past (a page on the front of their website). Maybe they'll just put updated processors in, more memory, more SSD capacity. The actual machines aren't that bad and the MBPr could possibly get away with that (MBAs would need a screen update IMO).I wonder if they're having issues with the soft F-keys which might be delaying them...

The rumour sites are very odd, lots of speculation, but very few facts.
Isnt that the very definition of rumour? W00DY said:

Hope the rumours aren't true about then dropping the USB ports.
Me too. Not to mention with the vale of the pound, I'm wondering if prices will sky-rocket. The rumour sites are very odd, lots of speculation, but very few facts.
Prices will go up - iPhone prices jumped at the release of the 7, the mid tier device was priced at what the top tier device used to be priced at.
What's USB-C? Does this mean the numerous USB devices I rely on won't be compatible? Most significantly the dongle containing the licenses for a load of the plug-ins that I use in Logic Pro and my Korg Micro key controller keyboard?
