No, I know it won't have them but it's annoying. SD card because "cloud" is bks given the number of threads complaining that reception has dropped off a cliff recently, and battery because as capacities increase, so does consumption, and they have yet to produce a smartphone that can last a day on a single charge. Also, my sensation is on its 3rd battery in 2 years as they stop holding charge after a while. So you get to buy a new phone because the battery is toast - hooray! What about the occasions the phone sts itself and need the battery pulling off to reset?
I'm a huge fan of the Nexus but I agree with what you say. I have tried using the cloud services but on the whole, it's not that reliable and not really ready for the big time yet.

I'll choose my next phone based on what I want out of a phone rather than putting preference on having a vanilla OS at all costs.

Looks like rumours of a 3300 battery are untrue and it will have a 2300 battery frown

Just to clarify I came across that website from a Google search, not because it is one that I visit!

I just hope it's correct too.

How very disappointing ...

Google Nexus 5 will not launch at October 24th event

Although there might be a white one too

Can they not just release Kit Kat, then release the 5 later in the year with Key Lime Pie. I'm bored of waiting now.

? Or maybe they're waiting 'till the fuss is over and they can have all the attention for themselves?

It's not a coincidence that the Galaxy S line releases has a 6 month deviation from the iPhones.

Kit Kat is Key Lime Pie!

Note the first letter is the same, the last OS was Jellybean.

I'm joking of course, I just want a Nexus 5, I've smashed the glass back on my 4. Still works though.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Key Lime Pie was meant to be 5.0. Kit Kat is 4.4. Not even slightly the same. Granted the OS that was meant to be KLP is now KK but KLP will still be 5.0 and will still be a future OS.

From what I've read/seen I thought KLP was just rebanded to KK rather than 'losing' features to become 4.4 rather than 5.0.

Either way KLP, as a name no longer exists. Maybe Lemon Tart does or something.

Quoted for posterity.

Presumably when Android 5.0 comes out, if it's not called "Key Lime Pie" you'll come back and apologise to AndrewEH1?

It's Google. They'd start making up words that start with ASCII characters and get them into dictionaries to make it work...

wink

They'll start up a worldwide candy brand just to produce sweets that start with X and Z.
