Looks pretty dam special. 24th June: not long! So how will it work with o2 - will there be preordering?
preordering starts in a week apparantly, unless that was just for the US market (doubt it!)32gb or 16gb| I have a 16gb 3G however HD movie, bigger pictures and inevitably larger apps may make the 32 the one to go for.
But, I'm a bloke, so will buy the biggest one
The carphone warehouse are doing pre-registration now

I've just been watching the video on the Apple website and all I can say is "wow!". The iPhone 4 looks stunning. I owned an original iPhone and always felt that it was produced as a 'premium' product, nicely put together and even came boxed on a nice clear acrylic tray - the 3G by comparison, i've always felt, is much cheaper in feel; it just feels like mass produced throwaway consumer rubbish. The new iPhone 4 looks like a return to original iPhone values - it looks beautifully constructed and looks like a device that you can be proud to own. I for one cannot wait! Luckily my contract ran out in February, so i've been hanging on for this announcement in the hope of upgrading ASAP. Hopefully the UK device/tariff pricing won't be prohibitive.

It's good to see that the UK release date is the same as the US.. I can't wait to get my hands on one.
It's time like this that I love working for o2..

I need a new phone, and this looks like just the thing...but, how long do you think the battery will last ?
I have found the Apple site overestimates by around 30% when it comes to battery life of their products.
I've found that pretty much all smartphones last a day of mild usage, I keep a charger next to bed and a charger at work and just stick it in whenever I can. Battery life doesn't 'really' matter that much. If Jobs' words are to be had faith in, this might even last 48 hours of mild usage. Of course that'll be annihilated with any kind of video watching/taking.I have found the Apple site overestimates by around 30% when it comes to battery life of their products.

I am quite often out all day (away from charging points) and need to be in contact via phone and email.
